I invested quite a bit of time hand polishing this, getting into nooks and crevices which missed years of top-side polishing.  I'm sure new buyer can improve on my efforts.
Info on William Aiken of Vyse St., Birmingham: Maker of silver and silver-plated items during the Victorian and Edwardian period in Birmingham 1891 to 1904 and active in Chester at the same time. William Aitken is recorded at Eagle Works, 78 Summer Row, Birmingham 18 March 1907, where he is listed in 1912 as a manufacturing silversmith. He was an exhibitor at the Jeweler’s Exhibition of the same year at which time it was said that: 'it is an impossibility to mention any article which can be made in silver that is not in the stock of this firm... The motto of the house is 'Nothing is too large; nothing is too small', and from the tiniest trinket to the heaviest piece of plate Mr. Aitken is well at home". Among the items shown were silver mounted glass ware, also silver bowls, flower vases, stands, tea services, trays, toilet ware, manicure sets, salts, peppers and mustards, serviette rings, dishes and centerpieces as well as a range of electroplate goods.

Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles.  On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views.
The item listed is being sold as is, as pictured and as described to the best of my knowledge.  If you have a question on an item prior to purchase, please ask. Remember, when buying vintage expect imperfections as these items have a history and have been in the possession of others. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
