    Description

    This lovely Dr. Wall period Worcester sparrow beak cream jug was made c. 1770.  It features a chinoiserie hand painted underglaze scene with pine trees, a hut, sailing junks and pagodas set on rocky hills.  It has the 1755-83 "open crescent" mark. The jug is baluster shaped and is 4.75" tall x 3" in diameter at the widest point.  The jug is in very good condition with the very tip of the spout having undergone a bit of restoration at some point in its long history (see final two photos)..
