Prewar sight and sound 1939 Andrea KT-E-5 Kit TV. This survivor looks to have had only a few caps replaced just after the war and is mostly all-original and unmolested
The extremely nice, KT-E-5 TV is one of possibly 12 known survivors worldwide and one of the very few mostly all-original, unrestored ones. Cosmetics of both cabinet and chassis are excellent plus overall, the unrestored front board has the original finish with very little wear and it has a beautiful, undisturbed patina. The front glass, mask, knobs and trim are extremely nice as well. Only the decals show some wear from normal use of knobs. It is most likely the nicest, original finish Andrea 5" TV around. The well preserved, unrestored chassis shows only a couple 1940's repairs done most likely just after the war. It is complete with most of the original tubes including the untested 5AP4/1805-P4 picture tube. The picture tube still holds it vacuum and displays well. The box shows wear to the outer paper print and hinge, see pics at the end.

Shipping options after pick-up inspection/full payment and sale is final, no returns for any reason: TV measures 16" tall, 17” wide, 16” deep and weighs 41 lbs. If shipped the picture tube will be packed in one box and the TV in another with the faceboard and picture tube support removed and packed separately as when new.
This is the approximate size and weight of the boxes.
TV chassis and front board, knobs: 20” tall, 22” wide, 22” deep and weigh 45 lb.
Picture tube: 20” tall, 10” wide, 10” deep and weigh 5 lb.
Good, strong packing supplies/boxes including 2” thick hard Styrofoam to line the boxes will cost approximately . There is no charge for my packing labor.
