Smooth brown leather uppers
Leather soles with Vibram rubber caps (the rubber caps look brand new; perhaps a recent addition)
Allen Edmonds rubber heel caps also look brand new
The leather linings look very good.  The insides of the shoes are pretty clean; just a little staining
Some very minor scuffing, but, overall, the leather looks and feels amazing- soft and supple
