    Description

This is a rare hand painted antique polychrome 6 tile wall plaque.
The plaque was possibly made by Westraven, Utrecht, Holland in 1890-1910.
It is difficult to open the back of the frame, and I’m not willing to do it because I’m afraid to damage the tiles.
The plaque image is based on the 1645 painting “Village doctor looking at urine sample”
(Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium) by David Teniers the Younger.
    The plaque size is about 17’’ X 12’’ framed and about 16 X 10 ¾’’ unframed.
The tile is in very good antique condition.
There are two small chips – one is on the left bottom tile (top left corner),
another one is on the middle top tile (middle of the bottom).
There are no other chips, cracks, or repairs.
    There is age related crazing.
The plaque is heavy – 5 pounds unpacked.
I’m charging actual shipping and insurance.
If the shipping cost turns out to be lower I'll refund the difference.
