Antique Silver Plate Repousse Hand Mirror Victorian Vanity Woman Art Nouveau

This very Art Nouveau antique silver plated hand mirror comes to us from the Victorian or Edwardian period. Decorated in heavy shining repousse depicting a woman enveloped in swirling poppies, it would make a statement on any vanity.
This mirror measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide. The frame has a shallow ding to its edge and the handle is pushed in on its back-which is aesthetically balanced enough that it almost looks intentional-and has a tiny hole just on the edge of the flower as well as larger one on the edge of the handle tip. The mirror face has some long marks in the silvering but the glass itself is smooth and it sits very tightly beneath its ring. There do not appear to be any areas of visible plate loss.
