    Description

    For sale is a pair of Deadstock 1950s 1960s CEBO Brown Leather Algonquin Toe Dress Shoes Men's 10 EE.
    For your consideration is a pair of handsome vintage dress shoes, in a light brown leather and Algonquin Toe derby style. They are from CEBO, a brand manufacturered in Czechoslovakia, while it was still a country. I wasn't able to find much about the brand, but here is a short synopsis from shoes-report:
    "CEBO (CESBO, Ceske Boty) is the Czechoslovak brand under which shoes were exported from Czechoslovakia. At the heart of the six factories producing shoes under this brand, there were several former manufactures of the famous company Bata. The company was created by Tomas Batey at the end of the 19th century, but a part of it located in Czechoslovakia (in particular, the future factories Svit and ZDA) was nationalized after the Second World War."
    These shoes feature a still-supple chocolate brown leather upper, classic Algonquin Toe derby dress shoe design, round waxed braided black laces, leather lining, "cushioned arch" leather sockliner, what appears to be leather insole, leather midsole, leather outsole (with tight waist), stacked leather and rubber heel with nails (1.125"), and aggressively tight to the edge Goodyear Welted Construction. They are Made in Czechoslovakia.
    For reference, here are the approximate measurements (taken along the outsole):
    Length - 12.25"
    Width (at ball of foot) - 4.125"
    I listed these shoes as New With Defects as there are some light surface scuffs on the outsoles (and light fine creases on upper) suggesting they may have been tried on once or twice, though they do not appear worn. There also appears to be some fine cracks along the back of the collar of the shoes (though this area appears relatively stable; to avoid stressing this, use a shoe horn). For their age, they are in very good condition.
    I have not cleaned/conditioned/polished these, so as to maintain their original new finish (though I would suggest reconditioning before you begin wearing these). They come from a pet and smoke-free home. Shoe trees are not included.
