    Description

    Engraved award medallion for First Prize, Junior Canoe Tandem, awarded by the Kennebunkport Rowing Club, of the same town in Maine, dated August 15, 1890. Host undoubtedly a planed-down Seated Liberty Half Dollar – 30mm diameter with the standard reeded edge of a U. S. Half Dollar.
    Engraving professionally done, as befits such an award – a very cool piece and difficult to believe it could have survived the years without major damage. Just some light wear and a scratch or two.
