    A remarkable large scale piece of Gouda Art Pottery! Known for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco use of wild colors and fantastic decoration, Gouds is not known for making realistic every day pieces. This 7 inch tall by 6 3/4 inch diameter old Oaken Bucket or barrel is deceptively utilitarian for Gouda. Or perhaps it is intended as a tromp l'oeil. Regardless, it is formed as a plain oak barrel, with graining to the wood and staves, along with a patch of green ivy to one side. Turquoise green interior.
