This is a wonderful earthenware wall plate made by the renowned Dutch factory Zuid-Holland in Gouda, crafted and decorated in the Corona decor in the style of Henri Breetvelt, with polychrome stylized flowers and leaves within abstract circular forms. The wall plate is fully marked with incised and painted marks
. Hand decorated earthenware, 31,5 cm in diameter.

Henri Leonardus August Breetvelt (Delft, 1864 – Gouda, 1923) was one of the most important designers and artists at Zuid-Holland. He also worked at Porceleinfabriek De Kroon in Noordwijk. Henri died in 1923 but even after his death Zuid-Holland continued using his designs, giving them the name "Decor Breetvelt.
