    Vintage IVORY PY-RA-LIN beveled glass oval hand-held mirror
    Approximately 8 3/4" wide and 14 3/4" tall. The oval mirror is approximately 7 3/4" wide and 5 3/4" tall.
    This is a turn-of-the-century hand mirror made from Pyralin. Pyralin is a celluloid plastic often used in vanity accessories of this era. The oval mirror is beveled and is cloudy on the left side, which is typical for a mirror of this age.
    Ivory Pyralin was the first plastic material developed in the 1860's, had many uses and came in many colors. Ivory Pyralin was made to look like genuine ivory from elephants complete with grain lines.
