Offered here is a lovely, colorful GOUDA candle holder in the "COSTA" pattern that was made in January of 1921
(a real "antique" now as it's over 100 yrs old!)
.  This great little candle holder is fully marked on the bottom with the Plazuid gatehouse, pattern name, date mark for January of 1921, artist's initials and other pertinent info.
This candle holder was meant to be carried by hand as evidenced by its handle which comfortably holds 2-3 fingers depending on the size of your digits.  The vase measures 4 3/4" diameter across the bottom and measures 3" in height to the top of the candle opening.  No crazing, cracks, or breaks - does evidence some irregularities in painting and black spotting which were typical of the green matt glaze of this period.   Enjoy displaying/using this lovely Gouda candle holder in your home/collection at the end of this auction.
