    Description

    This is a lid for a pink lustre sugar bowl probably dating to the 1840s. The design includes green flowers and leaves with raised dots of black paint. Swirls of green leaves are intermingled with pink highlights and there is a line of pink lustre on the handle and around the lid. Overall size: 3 ½” x 2 ½”. Fits a sugar bowl opening that measures a bit larger than 2” x 3”. Small edge nick and some of the pink lustre has rubbed off the edges. No cracks or stains. Some light reflection in the picture - this is not a mar.
