Shiseido Hanatsubaki - Handheld Mirror - 1969 Club Membership Gift - New Package.
First, this is an estate find and all I can do is tell you what I have managed to find on the internet.
We know the lady traveled extensively and this was one item in her estate.  As you can see in the pictures, everything is in Japanese and there is no translation on the packaging.  But thanks to the magic of the internet, I did manage to find an old listing for this exact same item.
This is a hand held mirror that can be laid down and adjusted to different angles.
This mirror is from 1969, that is plainly shown on the packaging.
The bottom of the handle has the name Shiseido engraved on the bottom, please see picture.
The bottom of the handle also has a clear label over the dark purple handle that reads....Made In Japan - Not For Sale, so maybe the old listing we had found from 2020 was correct in stating this was a give away and not for sale.  That is why we can not find on their web site.
The back of the mirror is has a metal design overlaid on the purple color of the outer ring and the handle.  When the mirror is held you can see the purple show up, it would not show in the pictures.
Overall length of mirror is 8 inches and the width of the mirror is 5 inches.
The mirror is just the way the lady left it, I don't think it has been removed from the packaging except to show at the sale.
The original inner tissue wrapping and cardboard are all original and show the age.
That is all I can tell you about this item.  From the listings that are on the net, these are very expensive items from this company.  I can't ask the prices that are listed but I will ask what we ended up paying for this very unusual item, one that I am sure someone of that heritage would like to have and use.
