Offered here is an
unusual
metallic type glaze Gouda vase from the 1940's-50's.  This lovely vase is marked as UNIQUE METALLIQUE in the manufacturer's marks on the bottom with the artist's initials and a probable date mark which can't be identified.
While most Gouda decor used a floral basis, this UNIQUE METALLIQUE vase almost looks like it was done with a finger painting type decor and used experimental glazes to produce a unique, often high glaze type finish.  Has a fairly complete foil Gouda label on the lower brown section just above the bottom rim.  The vase measures 2 3/4" diameter across the bottom, 3" diameter across the top, has a maximum diameter of about 4 1/2", and a height of 5 1/2".  No crazing, cracks, breaks or problems of any kind.  Reflections from my camera in some pics look like wear marks but are not present in real life.  Enjoy displaying this lovely Gouda vase in your home/collection at the end of this auction.
