Vintage 1930s Depression Era WPA SERA Work Boots Deadstock MINT.Here is a pretty rare find. SERA WPA era workboots. The State Emergency Relief Administration worked in conjunction with the WPA and completed many public works projects in California. Famously, photographer Dorothea Lange, renowned for her Depression era photographs, worked for SERA. Heavy duty boots with pretty agressive Paracord soles. Period photo of SERA workers shows some of these boots at work.
These boots are in Deadstock mint condition. Never worn. Possibly horsehide since many heavy duty work boots were made of it during the time period. Suede tongues. Some oxidation as shown on one grommet. Original laces. Steel toes. Heavy duty Paracord soles. Marked a size 12. Measures 13” heel to toe, 4.5” at the widest on sole, and 6” high. I wear a size 10.5/11 and tried these on with heavy socks and they fit pretty well with extra room in the toes of course.
No returns or refunds, especially due to size, fit or comfort. Extra shipping for outside US.
