Vintage Florsheim shell cordovan, 92621 black derby, v-cleat 10C

Description

Outstanding example of Florsheim 92621 the date code AE stipulates 1964, black shell cordovan derby, size 10C. Uppers are in near pristine condition, inner lining in good shape, starting to darken and some leaching of glue, trim edge around heel and entry is not broken down, all of which shows moderate to little use. The shoestring eyelets are intact with no tearing.
The five nail sole is original and the cleated heel shows commensurate wear to the sole, but the V-cleat heel is not double-rowed nailed as most Florsheims of the period, it is single row with heavier nails. It could be an early original with the early 1964 productuin, but it could also be a heel replacement, if so it is a very good period facsimile.
Nor only is this a very collectable vintage Florsheim, but an opportunity to get a pair of shell cordovan at a fraction of the cost of a new cordovan shoe.
