Vintage Vans RARE Made in USA High Top Sneakers 1980s Style 24 Men's Size 11 (or 10.5). In EXCELLENT condition given age. Notes below about sizing (80's sizing is a tiny bit smaller than modern day sneakers sizes), measurement from bottom soles length is 11.75" and barely 4" across at widest part of bottom sole. These are an original, Made in USA production of the 1980's Vans high top edition known as Style 24. Vans made a modern reproduction of these retro sneakers known as the OG Style 24 LX which you can read about and see here: https://www.blendsus.com/products/vans-vault-og-style-24-lx-black
Canvas has some white faded scuffing on one side of pair, but other than that wear is light and normal given age but clearly not used heavily let for scuffing part. Both the modern version on this original version have a unique white heel insert on the insole that comes standard - at first this may feel like a mistake or awkward when wearing, but after a few minutes your heel actually becomes accustomed to it and acts as an old fashioned heel support. Heel cups are in awesome shape and not cracking or brittle which is also first thing thats common in vintage pairs to get ruined first in storage.
With every pair of vintage sneakers I sell I try to give a wearability rating, since awesome vintage sneakers were meant to be enjoyed and worn. These I'd rate for every day or occasional use, in SUPER good shape. The rubber is still soft and bendable, vs hard and brittle which a lot of vintage pairs have due to improper storage from moisture and temperatures. After getting used to heel insert thing, fairly comfortable and can definitely be worn all day with plenty of flexibility. The inside of these are marked with 11 XW, meaning extra wide which is another rare unique thing about these as Vans doesn't really mark wide pairs anymore. However as men's 11 in Converse, I find these to just barely be a little too small in toebox area. So probably perfect for a men's 10.5.
Definitely would not be selling if they were just a tiny bit larger lol, definitely one of the most unique pairs of vintage sneakers I've owned that is just really uncommon to find for Vans of all things. Please see photos, FAST shipping and insured.
